London 2 Cardiff 24-hour challenge

What:  London 2 Cardiff 24-hour relay race    
Who:  Emma, Emily, Laura, Michelle, Kylie, Nick, Shelley, Jo, Tim and others to be confirmed...
Date: 30th – 31st May 2014   
Distance: 160 miles    
Details: The London to Cardiff run will see a group of 12 runners leaving Twickenham stadium and racing to get to Cardiff within 24 hours! The race starts with your entire team doing a one mile loop. Your first runner then sets off on their individual stage while the rest of the team return to your transport and head to the next checkpoint. After 12 stages your team arrives at half way for the second team leg. Another 12 individual stages make up the second half of the race. At the finishing venue, the team will then complete one final stage, finishing together in front of friends, family and supporters.   

Why this challenge?  By Emma Sentkovsky
We decided to tackle this challenge as a team for Bpositive because it is really going to test our endurance. We aren’t only running; we are racing throughout the day and night, trying not to get lost in the dark and trying to make it within 24 hours. This isn’t going to be an easy feat!

Why Bpositive?
Myself and the team want to help Bpositive in its early stages and as the team consists of people from one school (Newlands Girls' School) and at least 3 global companies, I’m sure that we will be successful in raising awareness! And on a personal level, I am the girlfriend of Ashley who is actively involved within the fundraising and digital Operations side of the charity as well as being a close friend of  Bpositive founder JonJo – and after seeing his commitment, dedication and passion for the charity, I want to do something to help the cause.
